Last month, Marissa and Gary traveled to Charleston to say “I do” in front of fifteen of their closest family and friends. These two had been waiting quite a long time to tie the knot, and I was so honored to help them plan a glamorous, sparkly elopement that honored their past, while looking forward to their bright future!
Catherine Ann Photography did an incredible job of capturing all of the intimate details, laughs, and love that this super cute couple shared.
Marissa and Gary tragically lost their young son to cancer earlier this year, and incorporated so many details in his remembrance. From the gold heart sewn into Marissa’s dress, to the overall color palette (gold represents childhood cancer), and the photo that they attached to her bouquet and his boutonniere, he was truly present on the day that meant so much to them.
I just adored Marissa’s super sparkly heels! Don’t you love them?
Her mother took Marissa’s love for bling and brought it to life by creating a stunning brooch bouquet for her daughter to carry.
Marissa’s rosey color palette was a dream come true! I just loved working with the bundles and bundles of cream, blush, and pink roses, and the tiny chamomile flowers gave her bridesmaids bouquets the perfect touch of sweetness (they smelled just like chamomile tea, too!).
After visiting Charleston, these two instantly knew that the gazebo at Hampton Park was the perfect place for their elopement. It was the perfect size for a handful of guests to witness their sweet ceremony, and the setting is pretty spectacular, too!
Marissa wore the most beautiful tiara, and it truly made her look like the princess she’d always dreamed of being on her wedding day.
There is nothing that I love more than a photo that captures the pure joy of a couple. Marissa’s happiness is so apparent. I love it!
We transformed the ballroom at the Market Pavilion Hotel with rose gold sequin linens and a rose-filled garland that went on for days. Paired with tall pink tapers in lovely gold candelabras, the historic hotel felt both regal and fun!
Congratulations, Gary + Marissa! We were so honored to be a part of such a special elopement!
A big thank you to our incredible team of vendors, and to Borrowed & Blue for featuring this sweet couple’s day!
